As a distance education institution, Thomas Edison State University has no campus residencies and does not offer or charge any fees for housing and meals. With the exception of our Accelerated 2nd Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, students complete their course requirements online and without the need to visit our campus. This is important because Pell Grant eligibility is determined from your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. The eligible, maximum amount you can receive in a Pell Grant is split equally by the number of terms for which you register for courses. In relation to the New Jersey Tuition Assistance Grant (only New Jersey residents are eligible), which terms do you expect to register for courses during the year?

To receive a New Jersey Tuition Assistant Grant in the Fall, New Jersey residents must be registered for and complete 12 credit hours in either the September or October terms. To receive a New Jersey Tuition Assistant Grant in the Spring, New Jersey residents must be registered for and complete 12 credit hours in either the January or February terms.
