How many college credits is it worth?

The most current University review identified up to 26 credit(s) in course equivalencies at Thomas Edison State University for successfully completing Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series Exams. A student's credit eligibility is determined according to the submission of appropriate documentation as well as the documented date of successful exam completion. If you completed your exam outside the effective dates listed in the following table, check the notes below the table for any reference to an earlier University review.

** Students may receive credit for Series 63, Series 65, or Series 66.
Students who passed a FINRA Series Exam prior to September 2015 may qualify for credit from a past University review.

Note: Students may apply these APR credits at Thomas Edison State University to any part of a degree program, including the area of study, as long as they are appropriate and do not exceed the limitation of transferable credits from any one source. How do I get started? top of page

  • Submit documentation of successful completion
    Students should download and complete the Letter to Request a FINRA Score Report found on the Web CRD/IARD Snapshot Request Form at http://www.finra.org/file/web-crdiard-snapshot-request-form. When completing the request, please indicate that you would like your Snapshot mailed directly to Thomas Edison State University, Office of the Registrar, 111 West State Street, Trenton, NJ 08608. Submit completed and signed request forms to FINRA. FINRA will then mail a copy of your Snapshot to the University.


 

Can I transfer APR credit to another institution? top of page

If you are seeking to transfer the APR credits to another college, the decision whether or not to accept these credits in transfer rests with that college. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the receiving institution's academic policy will allow transfer of each credit. Thomas Edison State University offers a non-degree service called Individual Learning Account that may be helpful.
