A student's credit eligibility is determined according to the submission of appropriate documentation as well as the documented date of successful training completion. *Student may receive credit once, for either First Line Supervisor or Mid-Level Management. They may not receive credit for both courses.

Note: Students may apply these APR credits at Thomas Edison State University to any part of a degree program, including the area of study, as long as they are appropriate and do not exceed the limitation of transferable credits from any one source. How do I get started? top of page

  • Submit documentation of successful completion

    Students must download and request the New Jersey State Police Training Bureau complete this form. The Training Bureau, Division of State Police, Department of Law and Public Safety, Office of the Attorney General, State of New Jersey will mail the completed Application for Credit on its letterhead directly to the TESU Registrar's Office. Note: For credits associated with the NJSP Basic Recruit Training only, students may submit a notarized copy of their certificate of basic training completion in lieu of the Application for Credit Form.


 

Can I transfer APR credit to another institution? top of page

If you are seeking to transfer the APR credits to another college, the decision whether or not to accept these credits in transfer rests with that college. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the receiving institution's academic policy will allow transfer of each credit. Thomas Edison State University offers a non-degree service called Individual Learning Account that may be helpful.
