How many college credits is it worth?

The most current University review identified up to 13 credit(s) in course equivalencies at Thomas Edison State University for successfully completing the ETA Bootcamp - Related Technical Instruction (RTI) for the NJ Electrical Apprenticeship. A student's credit eligibility is determined according to the submission of appropriate documentation as well as the documented date of successful ETA Bootcamp completion. If you completed your ETA Bootcamp outside the effective dates listed in the following table, check the notes below the table for any reference to an earlier University review.

The ETA Bootcamp components have been divided into the following courses:

ETA Bootcamp students can earn credits for each certificate as they go or for completion of the full Bootcamp. To earn all 13 credits, you must complete all 8 ETA Bootcamp certificates.

PLEASE NOTE: If you earned your OSHA-30 card as part of the ETA Bootcamp, you must request credit for it separately from your ETA Bootcamp credit. Please visit the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) PLR page for instructions on claiming those credits.

What if I completed my training/credential outside of the dates listed here?

The effective dates listed in the table above indicate the dates covered by our review of this training/credential. If you completed the training/credential at a different time but believe your training/credential is equivalent to what we reviewed, you are welcome to apply for an exception to the listed effective dates. You can do so by completing our Effective Date Exception petition and sending it, along with the required additional documentation, to plr@tesu.edu.

• If you have additional college credits you would like to transfer or prefer a different degree program at the University, a University academic evaluation will determine whether and how PLR credits may fulfill the requirements for your degree of choice.

  Students seeking credit should complete the TESU Honor Form, and include a copy of their ETA Bootcamp Official Transcript.

Can I transfer PLR credit to another institution?

If you are seeking to transfer the PLR credits to another college, the decision whether or not to accept these credits in transfer rests with that college. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the receiving institution's academic policy will allow transfer of each credit. Thomas Edison State University offers a non-degree service called Individual Learning Account that may be helpful.
