The University will award up to 3 credit(s) in course equivalencies at Thomas Edison State University for successfully completing the Linux Essentials certification. A student's credit eligibility is determined according to the submission of appropriate documentation as well as the documented date of successful certification completion. If you completed your certification outside the effective dates listed in the following table, check the notes below the table for any reference to an earlier University review.

What if I completed my training/credential outside of the dates listed here?

The effective dates listed in the table above indicate the dates covered by our review of this training/credential. If you completed the training/credential at a different time but believe your training/credential is equivalent to what we reviewed, you are welcome to apply for an exception to the listed effective dates. You can do so by completing our Effective Date Exception petition and sending it, along with the required additional documentation, to plr@tesu.edu.

    In order to obtain credit, please complete the following form: https://eforms.tesu.edu/appnet/reg19.html. The form will ask that you provide either (1) your LPI ID and verification code OR (2) a direct link to your credential on the Linux Professional Institute website.
