NUR-5290 US Health Policy and Global Health
During this course, students will develop an understanding of health policy including legislative processes and the role of the U.S. government in addressing public health at the local, state, and national levels. Students will examine the synergistic relationship between U.S. health policy and global health. Students will explore nursing's influence in health policy advocacy and its impact on outcomes considering social determinants of health. Students will examine factors that facilitate and hinder the nursing workforce across the globe.
