HUS-3000 Research Methodology in Human Services
This course familiarizes students with research methods in human services, emphasizing both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Students will tackle ethical challenges in human services research, including privacy, informed consent, and confidentiality, as they prepare to conduct research projects with integrity and transparency. The course stresses experiential learning by integrating theoretical instruction and hands-on activities through vignette discussions, projects, and reflective written assignments. Students will acquire the skills needed to formulate a research problem, assess existing scholarly literature, and successfully design their own research study.
