2025 Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) Scholarship Application

CCME is an active proponent for the professional development of those serving in the military education community by providing a forum for the exchange of information on educational programs, strategies and innovation among its members and associated partners. CCME membership is composed of military educators, civilian educators, post-secondary educational institutions, and suppliers of quality education products and services. CCME's mission is to promote and provide educational programs and services and to facilitate communication between the membership and the DoD educational support network.

Award Amount: The Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) is pleased to offer $1,000 scholarships each year to United States Service members (active duty and veterans), spouses of Service members, and children of service members who are working towards the completion of higher education degrees, certifications, and licensures. CCME is awarding 15 scholarships this year.

*All applications will be evaluated by the CCME 2026 Scholarship committee.  Evaluations will be based on:  

  • Ability to follow instructions and include all supporting information
  • Adherence to this year’s essay writing topic and quality of content

Once the committee has vetted all proposal submissions, those that have been selected will be submitted to the CCME Board for final approval. Notifications will go out in late January 2026.

2025 National Association of Institutions for Military Education Services (NAIMES) Student Spotlight Award

NAIMES celebrates student achievements and fosters scholarly communication between students, faculty, and the military communities we serve. We recognize student achievement by awarding five scholarships annually to military-affiliated students. Participation in the NAIMES Student Spotlight Award provides these students with opportunities to gain valuable experience in both oral and written presentations of their work. Veterans United Foundation is a proud co-sponsor of this award program.

Eligibility: Active-duty personnel, veterans, and active-duty military spouses from all service branches who are currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree are invited to apply. ROTC students and military academy students are not eligible. Applicants pursuing an undergraduate degree are required to validate the number of college credits earned at the time of application.

Award Amount: A $1,200 cash prize will be awarded to the top project in five categories*:

  1. Active-Duty undergraduate student with fewer than 60 credits earned
  2. Active-Duty undergraduate student with 60 or more credits earned
  3. Active-Duty graduate student
  4. Veteran
  5. Active-Duty military spouse

*In addition, travel funds, not to exceed $600, will be available to allow recipients to receive their award at the annual Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) Annual Professional Development Symposium. The 2026 CCME Symposium will be held March 29 to April 2 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis. The exact date of the Scholarship Award Celebration will be announced.

Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation

The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundations mission is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. We bridge the gap between existing sources of grants and scholarships and the total cost of college.

The Hill & Ponton Veteran's Scholarship awards four merit based $1000 scholarships to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Homefront Scholars Military Spouse Scholarship

At Pioneer Military Credit, were honored to support the families who serve. Thats why weve established the Homefront Scholars Military Spouse Scholarship a $1,000 annual educational scholarship created to support the academic goals and career aspirations of military spouses.

Military spouses play a vital role in supporting our nations service members, often making personal and professional sacrifices along the way. This scholarship is our way of saying thank you by helping you invest in your future. Each year, one selected recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship to be used toward tuition, fees, books, or other educational expenses.

Whether youre just starting school, returning to finish your degree, or advancing your career with further education, Pioneer Military Credit wants to help you take the next step.

Levi Rodgers Scholarship

The Levi Rodgers Scholarship offers a quarterly $500 award designed specifically for Veterans, Military families, and their dependents. Our mission is to support educational advancement and recognize the significant sacrifices made by our Veterans and their families.

Eligibility: Veterans with 100% service-connected disabilities, surviving spouses, and children of servicemembers lost due to service-related causes.  

Award Amount: $500 (quarterly)

Veterans of Foreign Wars Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship

The VFW and one of its major supporters, Sport Clips Haircuts, have again partnered to help our veterans and their families. The VFW's "Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship" will provide service members and veterans with the financial assistance they need to complete their educational goals without incurring excessive student loan debt. Applicants must be retired, honorably discharged, active duty, or a member of the National Guard or Reserve, have completed Basic Training and follow-on training (Advanced Individual Training, Technical school, etc.), separated with or currently hold a military rank of E-5 or below, demonstrate a need for financial assistance, and participate in, be accepted to or currently enrolled in a VA-approved program or school at an accredited post-secondary institution. 

Award Amount: Up to $5,000

Veterans United Foundation Scholarship

The Veterans United Foundation Scholarship is awarded through the Veterans United Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of financial contributions from the employees of Veterans United Home Loans. Our employees strongly believe in supporting our communities, our military and their families. We will be awarding up to 5 one-time scholarships for up to $50,000 each for this upcoming semester to eligible students. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must be a surviving spouse or child of a deceased servicemember or Veteran.  

Award Amount: Five awards up to $50,000

Application Deadline: Spring and Fall
