NUR-3420 Contemporary Nursing Practice


This course introduces the evolution of nursing as a profession, examining historical contexts, current professional image, ethical considerations, and evidence-based practice. Students explore contemporary challenges such as achieving workforce diversity, cultural competence, quality improvement, and self-care strategies essential for a sustainable nursing career. The course bridges nursing education and professional practice while preparing students to navigate the complexities of today's healthcare environment.
