This course creates a foundation for achieving the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) educational outcomes and for transitioning to baccalaureate nursing practice. As such, it provides a broad overview of professional practice and patient outcome issues including professional practice standards, educational requirements in nursing, evidence-based care, health information technology, and population-focused care. The course applies ethical principles and models of cultural competence to nursing education and practice.
BSN students: This course is offered 6 times per year during Session 1 and Session 2 of each 16 week Nursing Undergraduate term. Please check the 16 Week School of Nursing Undergraduate Academic Calendar for dates and registration information.
