HRM-8030 Seminar in Human Resource Leadership
This course will focus on the importance of effective human resource (HR) leadership to organizational success. HR leaders are responsible for crafting policies that support organizational effectiveness and cultural stability. An HR leader must be able to design an effective succession management system that creates a talent pool with the breadth and depth necessary to support organizational sustainability. The importance of the HR department to strategic success means that those who lead and work within this functional area must have advanced skills. However, all leaders within an organization must understand the function and help choose appropriate leadership to support everyday business functions. By the end of the course, students will define HR leadership capabilities and create a plan for HR functions and policies to support succession management systems and the development of the HR workforce.
