Course Description Continued study in the preparation of web page design. Advanced original work in the design and creation of functional web page design. Emphasis will be on the development of individual, technical, and stylistic directions for the use of functional web design. The student will be expected to document a range of fundamental material and perceptive skills as proof of competency at the highest level required to engage in the practice of Web Page Design II. In that regard, a substantive number of additional works beyond the initial 10-12 works that are appropriate for Web Page Design I should be provided as documentation. Most students at this more advanced level will have a good deal of work to show as documentation. In other cases, there may be less works, but the deeper conceptual/programmatic content of the works are to be revealed in the narrative about those works.
Learning Outcomes Through the Portfolio Assessment process, students will demonstrate that they can appropriately address the following outcomes:
Continuation of the expression and documentation of a range of fundamental web page design and creation skills using the specialized advanced web page design vocabulary and concepts involved in describing advanced level web page design and functionality.
Expression of the potential of the web page design and how use of the page has affected the realization of their web page design goals should be provided for each documentation web page.
A continued discussion and explanation of the strengths and weaknesses of the appropriate use of animations, color and typography on each Web Page using specialized web page creation terminology as well as the content and design contexts for each work. Physical web page documentation for each discussion should be provided.
