HEA-3050 Women's Health
What are the factors that affect women's physical and mental health? How do women's health needs evolve throughout the lifespan? What challenges do historically excluded populations face? This course will explore a broad range of topics that affect women, such as sexuality and gender, the environment that surrounds them, healthy choices and risk factors, as well as mental health and reproductive issues. Students will analyze personal, family, cultural, community, and societal influences on the physical and emotional health of women. In addition to honing analytical and writing skills throughout the course, students will develop a keener awareness of the experiences and struggles of the diverse populations that comprise today's society.
