HUS-4020 Professional Practice in Human Services

This course prepares you for career success in helping professions through applied learning, self-reflection, and professional skill development. You will strengthen communication, ethical decision-making, and cultural humility while developing strategies for effective practice across diverse settings and populations. Through simulations, discussions, reflective activities, and AI-enhanced learning experiences, you will apply course concepts to real-world human services practice and build professional confidence. You will also complete a scaffolded signature assignment that examines a contemporary human services issue through micro, mezzo, and macro perspectives to develop strategies for support, advocacy, and systems-level change.
