NUR-4220 Nursing Care of Infants, Children, and Adolescents
This course prepares the student to provide evidence-based nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in the context of family-centered care. Emphasis is placed on growth and development, age-appropriate assessment, and effective communication with pediatric patients and families. The course addresses health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic health alterations. Students develop clinical judgment, medication safety competence, and necessary skills to deliver developmentally appropriate, ethical pediatric nursing care.
